The leather saddle and grips make this feel like a proper little vintage bike rather than a plastic toy, and my son sits so much straighter on it. The powder-coated steel frame has already survived a few tumbles against the curb without a scratch.

My daughter learned to ride without training wheels in two afternoons on this thing, and the powder-coated steel frame still looks new after months of drops on the driveway. It's noticeably heavier than her old plastic trike, but that's exactly what makes it feel like a real bike instead of a toy.

The leather saddle and grips feel way nicer than the plastic stuff on most kids bikes, and my daughter actually wants to ride it instead of treating it like a toy. Only gripe is that it took me about half an hour to assemble, but once it was together it felt solid.
